About the Museum of the American Carnival
The original nostalgia committee was formed under President Lester Colegrove with the encouragement of Terry Harper who became the first Chairperson. She maintained and lead this committee for several years, at which time George Sanders took the reins. Under his guidance the collection grew faster than the records could be recorded. While George was Chairman the idea of a full fledged Museum began to develop. He continued in this capacity until his untimely death in 2001. At this time the position was taken over by Richard Brewer. Richard continued on as Chairman until 2007 when Cancer took him from our ranks. Since that time the position has been shared by several members.
